to opening to what it is

I would like to share something that one of my greatest friends just sent me, read it wisely and slowly you may find it beatiful. Think about it a couple of times, may be useful for the rest of your life.

The dharma- buddha's teaching- is about letting go of the story line and opening to what is: to the people in our life, to the situations we're in, to our thoughts, to our emotions. we have a certain life and whatever life we're in is a vehicle for waking up.

Find out for yourselves what is true and what is false.
Eventually, what you are living with this in mind, specific to yourselves, you start to question "what does this really mean?" and after a while you'll forget that you're even asking the question. therefore you have insight- a fresh take on what is true.
Insight comes suddenly, as though you've been wandering around in the dark and someone switches on all the lights and reveals the palace. its been there all along. It feels as tho we've discovered something that no one else ever knew, and yet it's completely straightforward and simple.

Slogans
slogans are often used to reverse an ego's logic. often they may be simplistic in its general notion, but they can become like an additional sense to us- completely relevant to how we experience things, and how we relate to what occurs in our lives.

A Slogan: "All activities should be done with one intention."

"Breathing in, breathing out, feeling resentful, feeling happy, being able to drop it, not being able to drop it, eating our food, brushing our teeth, walking, sitting-whatever we are doing could be done with one intention. That intention is that we want to wake up, we want to ripen our compassion and we want to ripen our ability to let go, we want to realize our connection with all beings. Everything in our lives has the potential to wake us up or put us to sleep. Allowing it to awaken us is up to us."
